February is almost here but most of all I can’t believe that Grant and I have been married for 6 months! Words cannot describe the joy I feel when I think about the greatest gift Grant and I received this year, each other. Our marriage is a living testament of God's grace in our lives. I can't wait to see what the future holds for us, but then again I can...time is passing too quickly.
Grant and I are both doing very well. He has recently survived a nationwide layoff... Go Grant! Clear Channel has been very good to us and it seems to be a very appealing and enjoyable job. Not to mention, the new friends and many activities that Grant has gotten involved in. I’ll have to update you on his bowling stats next time as his league starts today. We did have a fun practice round a week ago!
I FINALLY sold my Lexus to a sweet young man so that was exciting news for us this past weekend. I'm sure Grant's trusty salesman skills aided in the purchase. He's good at selling anyone anything, except me of course. Ha, ha!
I hope this finds everyone doing well! xo

Happy New Year!
We had a wonderful Christmas! We had fun getting to hang out with the fams, and the presents weren’t so bad either :). Magical things happen at Christmas time, I tell you.
We celebrated Shelby's first birthday on Christmas eve... my has the year flown by. It feels like it was just a couple months ago where Harley and she were the same size. Of course, crafty Krystal whipped up a party hat for her to sport in her 1 year pictures! She thoroughly enjoyed it; at least that's what I'd like to tell myself.
I'll have to say that I will miss my days at home once I head back to work. I am able to accomplish quite a bit when Grant is at the office and most of all it makes me feel good to get organized. I am finally back into a routine of hitting the trails at Memorial Park and that feels pretty good. Lately, I have turned the bedroom tv off early (gasp) to read my latest book- Something Blue by Emily Giffin that Dad and Irene bought me. I wouldn't exactly call it "deep" reading, but hey, it probably beats mindlessly sitting in front of the tv, right? Right?! And for the record, I finished the book in 3 nights.
Anyway, we rang in the New Year with our favorite couple Melissa and Marshall. It was an 80's themed party and was lots of fun! Melissa entertained us with her solo to Maniac, which Chris insisted on waiting to play after midnight. 2 am crept up pretty quickly and I was done for the evening. It’s fun being old and married :o)
Happy new year to you, friends/family/strangers- make it a great one!
