No More Weeds!

It's official... we are out of the weeds!! We had our first visit with the new OB, Dr. Plavidal. I would have to say that it was the most calming and pleasant OB/GYN appointment I've ever had. Dr. Plavidal has been an OB/GYN for 35 years and is the Chief of Obstetrics at Womens Hospital. His wealth of knowledge made our visit so thorough and comforting. We discussed items I have never talked about before with any other doctor. He was measuring this and that and I think we spent an hour with him. God was clearly in the driver's seat on Monday; calming my nerves and allowing me to enjoy the road to wonderful motherhood. During the ultrasound the baby was extremely active, kicking and punching once again. It is such a neat experience for Grant and me! "Morning" sickness comes and goes still but hopefully in a week or so it will subside. Dr. P moved my due date back a couple of days so now we're looking at November 19th. Tomorrow I will be 11 weeks.

Thank you for your continued thoughts and prayers as we continue along this beautiful journey.

God's Miracle

Well, Grant and I had a bit of a scare this past evening when I started having severe cramping. We ended up going to Women's to have it all checked out and long story short, I was dehydrated and started to cramp/contract because of it. I have been pretty sick this week so I'm sure that had something to do with it. At the hospital we had a sweet peek at God's miracle getting bigger by the moment. The baby was kicking and punching it's arms -- it was such an amazing thing to see.

All I want is carbs... mashed potatoes, corn, macaroni, grilled cheese. The scale is not going to be my best friend... ha ha.

Graduation

We had our 8 week check up yesterday and things couldn't have gone better. The ultrasound tech let us hear the heart beat away at 154 bmp and it was such an exciting moment for us! You can see the heart beat in the second picture I posted. So cool! God's miracle is growing exactly like it's supposed to and looks more precious than ever. We have graduated from the Fertility doctor and on to our new OB, Dr. Plavidal. Our next appointment is April 27th. While she couldn't guarantee it, Dr. Valdez said she felt like we were out of the weeds.... yay!

I have been pretty sick lately but since I have the best husband in the world, I have been well taken care of. Anyone who can deal with puking, whining, back rubbing, cooking and laundry all in one day... well, I think that speaks for itself.

We are spending the Easter weekend with family-- it will be busy but wonderful to see everyone!

Please continue to pray for my sister Allie's husband's family as they go through the unexpected death of his father.
